Yankee Ace reported no trouble after throwing a 34 pitch bp today. So, his rehab should be back online. We'll see if there's enough season left for him to make an appearance, or if he'll just continue rehabbing with hopes of being fully ready for 30 or 35 starts next year. Good news in any event.

I read that they are intent on starting him before the season ends to find out if he's going to need surgery.
Prediction: Prado will be the starting 2B next season.
We'll have to see on both counts.
Nope, Prado is the starting third baseman next season.
A-Rod will get a chance to prove he can't , IMO.
I think they'll get rid of him this offseason.
I also think they will find a way to get rid of A-Rod. How, I have no idea, as I do not believe they will just cut him, and let him sign with someone for the minimum and come back to haunt them.
But I do think he has played his last game as a Yankee.
Question:
If Tanaka can't pitch in a real game before the season ends, can they send him anywhere to play over the winter? AFL?
Anyone know? Thanks.
They could maybe send him to AFL or just keep giving him sim games down at the complex.
I agree with the Simulated games, but I don't think a guy at Tanaka's level gains much from them, except for the throwing part. The challenge is not there at all.
I think it's all about arm and health at this point and they want to keep him working a bit because he's missed half a season.
