Boom! Bam! Yanks Win!

So Chase Headley just followed up Mark Teixeira's game tying homer with a game winning homer in the bottom of the ninth. Remember when the Yanks used to do stuff like this a lot?   Well, they did it again just now.   Nice!  Big win!

They need to remove Capuano from the rotation. Maybe then late HR will be able to pad leads rather than steal improbable wins.

And why is it that the same guys are always homering off the Yankees?

Yankee pen last night did not include either of the big 2. I don't see anyone complaining here though. :)

Good win. Much needed. You can't lose 2 of 3 to one of the worst teams in Baseball in 2014, and expect to compete.

Now don't blow it against KC or Tampa.

Who is Richardson and why he is here? They have way too many of these guys.

I realize it doesn't matter, but as with Capuano, it represents why this team is a rudderless mess.

As much as I think Cashman has wrongly received credit for Stick's amazing legacy, become lazy and complacent, and missed the biggest trend shift in recent baseball history, leadership starts at the top.

So this poorly constructed roster is really on Hal, first and foremost.

That's why I think making the playoffs may be a bad thing.

He needs to be awoken from his complacency.

And they're far too willing to make roster room for guys like Richardson, yet when it comes to giving someone like Pirela or Roller a chance, suddenly, it's "OMG who do we remove from the 40-man?!"

At this point, I place the blame squarely on Hal.

And what would please Hal more than anything? Making the playoffs.

As much as I am conflicted, they aren't making it.

So f Hal.

Someone should study how much more susceptible to injury a pitcher is when their offense sucks. #Tanaka
