Rangers Take 2 Puck Moving D's

At 140 and 142 the Rangers took 2 really intriguing offensive defenseman in lefty shot Daniel Walcott and righty shot Tyler Nanne.   Daniel has taken an unusual path to the draft.   He dominated at New Trier HS, then moved on to the Q as a 19 year old, where he more than held his own.    He's just under 6 feet and about 170 right now.

Tyler Nanne is Lou Nanne's grandson.  If you don't know who Lou Nanne is, you're not a hockey fan.    He was and is he King of Minnesota Hockey.   He got Herb Brooks the 1980 Team USA gig.  Heavy, heavy hitter.  Anyway, Tyler is undersized and that's why he was available at 142.   He's just 5'10" and 165 or something and is scheduled to play for OSU next year.  All that being said, they say he has crazy agility and a surprisingly heavy shot for his size.

Really intriguing picks in the 5th.   As of right now, I think the Rangers are out of picks, but let's see.
