Callahan Wanted More?

Nothing has changed between Ryan Callahan and the Rangers thus far, but word seems to be that Callahan's original contract demand was closer to 7/49 than 7/42.    That's just a crazy starting point, and 6/36 would be a crazy compromise point for the Rangers.  Much as this would be emotionally difficult, the smart move is to trade him (assuming Sather can get a good deal).   He's just hurt too much and it seems AV doesn't have as much use for him as Torts did.    They can't pay a 3rd liner 6M per annum.   And they should even make a 5 year deal with a guy who gets hurt as much as Cally does.  Do they not remember Chris Drury?
