It Has to be Yu!

Yu Darvish is finally getting posted either Thursday or Friday. I think the Yanks plan on winning the bidding, and will only sign Nakajima if they win the bidding for Darvish. If that happens, I then expect Nunez to be moved for another pitcher, and Cespedes to be the Yanks other FA target. Go Yanks! Get your man!

Not going to happen.

Teams like TX, Bos and Tor have deep pockets and will spend big.

Cashman has stated numerous times about budget being a factor now with 2014 around the corner.

The posting fee doesn't count against the luxury take threshold. They will try to win, Sign him for 8 mill. Trade AJ while eating salary now and in 13, and be fine for 14.

Aye, the Yankees could conceivably give him an $8-million-per-year contract while blowing everyone out of the water on the bid. Given the current climate where teams want the moon in potential trades for starting pitching, Darvish is a must-have.

Not sure where Cespedes fits in unless the Yankees are trading either Swisher or Gardner. I hope they sign the Japanese infielder regardless.

BTW, what is the deal with Girardi in regard to Montero? He has to "earn his spot" this spring? Dude, his 2010 minor-league campaign alone should have "earned him a spot."

Girardi has a lot of false standards for catchers.

Looks like TX will be main competition for Yu with Wilson going to LAA. Unless they surprise us and sign Prince, which I expect since they don't have a 1b.

Think Prince goes to Cubs, Marlins or Cardinals, now that Pujols is in L.A.

Looks like NY will not place a bid at all.
