The GM Meetings
Tuesday will be the start of the annual GM meetings. Both these and the owners meetings which follow them set the agenda for the Winter Meetings that will take place in December. Nothing generally comes out of the meetings, though two years ago, the Curtis Granderson deal got started at the GM meetings. For his part, Cash is probably doing his annual price indexing for trades and free agents. Otherwise, things remain quiet on the Yankee front.

LEANING LEFT?
The White Sox are shopping Matt Thornton, a lefthanded reliever. Chicago is said to be seeking a second-tier minor-league starter in return.
Cashman believes the Yankees have “one of the best bullpens in the game,” although he said it would be a luxury to add a second lefty to go with Boone Logan.
Perhaps Mitchell/Warren/Phelps could do the trick?
He's a good middle reliever, and when you also factor in Girardi's obsession with lefty/righty matchups, this one's a no-brainer. Get it done, Cashman.
Yanks aren't put out by the draft changes.
Braves want Nunez...
