Ahem
On the first warm weekend of baseball the Yanks have experienced this season, their late lamented Captain came to life. Flashing looser legs in the field, he finally reengaged them in his swing and the results today were 4 for 6 with two homers and a stolen base. His legs feel better and now he looks like Derek Jeter. Lean players usually last, and that's why I wasn't too eager to start piling on the Jeter's done bandwagon. Now this is just one weekend, but I have a feeling the tear will last and the Yanks will be rewarded for their patience. Meanwhile, Grandy hit his 11th as the Yanks clubbed their way back for a win in Texas. The lineup should get going, and the pitching has been solid so far, with the exception of some bullpen blowups. Go Yanks!

Need A-Rod to work through his slump (wonder if he's playing hurt?), and Swisher to start hitting.
Granderson is showing why the trade was such a good one for the Yankees.
Grandy might be having the MVP type season people thought he might someday have.
