Giants Make No Progress Toward the Playoffs

Sheesh. The defense has been poor for the last 5 quarters of play. And the turnover problem that has existed since the beginning of the season, bit the Giants repeatedly today. 7 seasons in and the Giants are still turning the ball over because the receiver and QB have made separate reads. The Giants can still go on a roll and win the tourney, but if they don't, I think we'll be talking about coaching candidates come January. Go Giants! Please!

Not much Coughlin can do in this case. The team had the life sucked out of it last week vs. the Eagles. Probably the only thing that will work at this point is some new faces.

When a team plays as poorly in December as the Giants have under Coughlin, coupled with how they quit on him last season, it's time to go.

Clean sweep is needed, the run is over, hopefully Mara can see it, otherwise expect more of the same nothing...

I wouldn't even mind if they brought Fassel back. He never had this kind of offensive talent.

(I'm mostly joking, but not completely.)

Just a pathetic showing yesterday. I'd love to see Cowher in here.

I wouldn't mind seeing Fassel or Weis as OC. I'm not a big fan of Cowher.

I just want Coughlin out.

I read on some site that changing coaches would set back too many players in their prime years as they learned a new system.

Really? Isn't that what we are seeing now with Eli and the WR with all the interceptions?

set them back? has the current regime not done a fine job of that already?

The signs that they are going to stupidly keep Coughlin are strong, meaning that they will always underachieve, and Eli will continue to throw too many INTs because of Coughlin's/Gilbride's offense, unless they go on a magical roll, which Couglin has gotten far too much credit for.

The worst possible outcome. We're stuck with Coughlin, stuck with Gilbride, and Eli and the offensive talent will never reach their potential, while the defense will remain vulnerable to historic collapses, and the ST will always suck.

But for Rozelle's intervention, the Maras might be viewed like the Dolans, except that the Dolans know how to make money away from sports.
