Yankees This Week

The Yanks return home and get Dave Eiland back for starters. And then there matter of MLB IFA's Signing Period, which will beging Friday, June 2nd. The Yanks will be active as usual, but I've been assured it's a down year for premium talent in the DR. Also, even if the Yanks don't announce a Gary Sanchez level signing on Friday, don't forget that they have been cleaning up after the opening of the 7/2 market over the last few years and will be signing IFA's all the way through December, once they start. Also, Heredia, the big pitcher from Mexico doesn't turn 16 till August, so they can't sign him till then. Should be interesting to see what they do. Go Yanks!

great win last night!!! Mr. T could not have been too happy watching his pen melt before his eyes. This is one of those wins that you look back on and can be the catalyst to springboard them to even greater heights the rest of the year!

Go Yanks!!!

Cano is a legit MVP candidate in my eyes, and would do wonders for his confidence going forward if he should win.

Have to fix AJ, and perhaps add a reliever and a bench bat and I think we are set!!! Though last night Huffman and Curtis really showed me something.

Please get a legit setup man Yankees...

The problem is at what cost. Most relievers aren't worth the price.

AJ will never be fixed, he will be boom/bust as long as he remains a Yankee.

Having Halladay around 24/7 is probably the best way to get the most out of him. The Phillies should think about that at some point.

I don't think AJ will remain a Yankee for the full five years.

Hilarious that Dodgers fans are seeing the truth about Torre's abuse of bullpens come to light. And I'm happy we were the beneficiary for a change.

Kay posed a question yesterday, and imo, it's not stupid. Would you trade Granderon for BJ Upton? Around Yankee veterans he likely would never dog and could possibly reach his potential.

I would. It's not a knock on Granderson. He may make too much for TB.

Give Granderson a platoon partner (Reed Johnson, Cashman!!!) and he eclipses Upton offensively. No thanks.

If Granderson has to be platooned, trading AJack and IPK was a mistake.

Just let KLong keep working with Granderson, he'll get him squared away.

Was it? Jackson has declined rapidly and IPK was never going to make it in New York.

I think so because as assets, I think they could have brought more back than a platoon player. Not that he will be, but if that's how it turns out (or that's how they think it will turn out), sell him before it becomes the reality.
