Yanks Lose

The umpst were bad, and the bullpen was worse. Joba and Mo blew another one. Meanwhile, it would be nice if Mark Teixeira could square up a pitch or two. Now we have no chance of tying Tampa, who arrive tomorrow. Unacceptable.

No way should Marcus Thames ever play the field. He has value on the team as a DH/PH, but he should never play the field. Period.

Winn has no business being on this team at all. And Joba needs to be down in the minors with Nardi trying to fix his mechanics. Upper 90s less than a week ago to low 90s slop ain't it.

Who positioned Winn and why?

TB won this series without even playing in it.

You cannot both Winn and Thames on this team.

The roster marginal construction sucks and Cash needs to fix it.

Marginal roster construction has always been Cashman's biggest weakness.

Thames should never touch a glove.

Why isn't Golson up?

This guy will be released by the end of July. He got lucky off of Pablebon.

As long as Thames can hit, he should be on the team -- just as a DH.

Thames will be on the team longer than Winn.

Overall: .352 .456 .537 .993

v. R: .280 .394 .440 .834
v. L: .414 .514 .621 1.135

Why aren't Posada and Swisher on the DL yet? Why is Chamberlain still on the big league roster, instead of being down in the minors, having his mechanics worked on?

Why are the simplest of decisions so painfully hard for this team?

Their lack of position prospects at the upper levels is absolutely killing them.
