Yanks Lose

Mitre actually pitched well. Joba and Mo did not. The O took the day off. Unacceptable.

Jeter and A-Rod ain't right. I think A-Rod's playing hurt. I don't know what's going on with Jeter...

The Swisher, then Miranda PH was an embarrassing moment for Girardi. Everyone in the world knew that if he tried to use Swisher, Gardenhire would use a righty.

Heading into today's game, Alex was hitting .333/.379/.630/1.009 over the last seven days. I guess he could be hurt, but he has been producing lately.

How long before he we start reading the "contract is affecting Jeter" stories?

Guess I shouldn't speak out of turn about A-Rod. But Jeter's year so far is more concerning than all the injuries.

Sooner or later at least some of the core four are going to have age related declines, and it could get ugly. It's too early to say that about Jeter yet, but if it happens, I would rather it be before his next contract is signed.

With Mo, it may be his susceptibility to muscle pulls.

I should say if it happens to Jeter in the next year or two.

I hope the Yankees have a plan to deal with it. Montero for HanRam?

To answer an earlier point, no writer in NY has the gall to come up with a "contract year is affecting Jeter" story.

Wallace Matthews?

Unless he's criticized Jeter in the past, I'll believe it when I see it.

Remember Jeter got hit in the hand the other day, and that almost always leads to a protracted slump.

Mike

I meant that a writer would do that to excuse Jeter's performance, not to criticize it.

Jeter's LD% has a problem all season.
