Almost Perfect

Andy Pettitte was 7 outs away from perfection tonight when Jerry Hairston booted a routine grounder for an error. Pitching out the stretch, Petting gave up a clean 0-2 single to Markakis to lose the no-hitter. Later he gave up a solo shot to Mora in the 8th but became a 12 game winner and moved ahead of Lefty Gomez with his 190th Yankee win as the Bombers won 5-1. Swisher was a triple away from the cycle and Cano had a two run double to bust it open a bit in the 8th. His RISP hitting is starting to correct itself. AJ goes tomorrow. The Yanks are now 35 game over .500. Go Yanks!
