Yanks Lose on Umpire Error in the 9th

The Yanks lost tonight when the first base umpire called Ramiro Pena out at first when he was safe. The correct call would have loaded the bases with 1 out instead of two, with Molina coming up. Molina's subsequent flyball would have won the game. Instead, former Yankee minor leaguer Carlos Pena homered in the top of the tenth, and Neither Mark Teixeira, nor Hideki Matsui could score Johnny Damon from third in the bottom of the tenth to re-tie the game. Tex had tied the game, earlier with a 3 run triple, but when he could have re-tied or won it, he popped up a cookie. The Yanks are now 1 game under .500. Maybe they can win tomorrow.
