Nearly a No-No!

AJ Burnett gave the Yanks just what they needed tonight, 8 strong inning of 2 run ball. In fact, he kept the Rays hitless untill the 7th when he gave uo some hits and two runs. He came back for a 1-2-3 8th and gave the Yanks his second good and first quality start of the season. Brett Gardner also had a good game, his first, and came through with 3 hits, including 2 doubles and and RBI. Derek Jeter may have busted out of his doldrums with a 3 run homer in the 9th. Tex was back, drew a couple of walks and hit the go ahead sac fly after the Rays had tied the game. Swish stayed red hot with a homer and a double. And Brian Bruney looked very sharp striking out the side in the 9th as the Yanks beat the Rays 7-2 in Tampa. Big win! Let's take the series tomorrow!

When our pitching settles down ,we will see many more games like tonight. Burnett was terrific. This will be fun.
