Gone For the Year?

According to Pete Abraham, word is that Xavier Nady will have surgery on his right elbow and miss the entire season. This is a blow to Yankee depth, and it will be interesting to see how the Yanks fill the roster spot. If Nady goes on the 60 day DL, they can add someone to the 40. Of their minorl league OF's, Austin Jackson is off to the best start, but John Rodriguez might be the more likely option. He's a patient hitter who really hasn't failed in any of his major league chances, but he hasn't gotten the chances he's deserved, either. Of course, a trade could always happen. Be well, Xavier!

Magglio Ordonez can be had in the next couple of months for a song and dance.

Perhaps a guy like Igawa + a B level prospect for Ordonez and cash would do it.

No way Swisher continues his dominance.

He won't be dominant, but he'll OPS 800+.

I don't really see them trading for a stating OF, but who knows?

Maglio has club options for 10/11 and has incentives that would kick in his deal automatically, not sure if Cash would want to invest future monies on him with the likes of Holiday and Crawford(if Tampa for some reason did not pick up his option) become available.

We don't have a starting position for him, since he can't play CF.
