Giants Franchise Jacobs

The Giants today took the suprising step of franchising tailback Brandon Jacobs. It looked like they were gonna get a longterm deal done with him earlier, but something must have changed in the negotiations. They still have time to work out a new deal, but now if he does to FA and joins another team, that team will owe the Giants 2 #1 picks. Hopefully this is just a place holding move and the two sides can work something out.
