Yanks Clobber Seattle

Andy provided his first quality start in a few tries, 6ip 2R, and the bats did the rest against Bedard. Shelley Duncan broke the ice with a 3 run jack, then the doors just came off for Bedard. The Yanks score 8 in the 5 and 9 of their 12 runs were charged to Bedard who only last 4.1. In general they were more patient tonight and their patience lead to an easy win against a top starter. Let's hope they keep remembering to make the other team's pitcher work. It was nice to see Andy get through a start without giving up a big inning. Hawkins worked a scoreless seventh and eighth and Ramirez worked around 2 walks in a scoreless 9th. Cano and Giambi are waking up, and that can only be good news. Go Yanks.
