More Jovo Rumors
Rumors on various sites have us back in the race for Jovo. I have heard no updates through my contacts, but can tell you I was told the Rangers were looking into it a few weeks ago. The rumor apparently has Cullen or Mara in the deal, and if that's the case, I'd pass.

I agree I would pass as well. I have not wanted Jovo from the start. If we sent Malik and something else I would listen, but not for Cullen or Mara.

Not enough, but that's a lot of cap room.
I agree with you lots of cap room. I now see either Peca or Forsberg coming and Malik or Mara being moved. I really think this was the first domino to fall
I think it probably was, too. Since they've done nothing to clean up the D.
For a 1 year deal for a million Peca would be a good addition.
I am curious where they are going with the D.
I like that we added a pick to the draft for next year as it is supposed to be very deep.
I would have expected a higher pick.
If the draft is deep as they say, maybe Carolina was probably reluctant.
Probably could have traded him somewhere else for more, but we sent him to where he wanted to go.
I would agree that on the surface he has more value, but I don't want to judge this totally until I see what is next. I think on paper it is okay considering teams knew we were trying to unload him.
