Trade Season
It's trade season in the NHL and NBA and as the deadline approaches both of my winter teams seem poised to make moves. Sather, feeling some heat for the first time since before the strike already made two moves last week. I suspect more are coming. I fear Petr Prucha, who's been put in a series of bad positions this year, will be dealt for D or an over the hill C. The Rangers also have some prospects, that Sather will be only too happy to deal if the correct short term fix is presented. This is a scary situation.
On the Knicks side, it looks like Zeke has saved his job, and Dolan is making noises like he is safe. I think this means a trade is more likely. They are clearly eager to trade Steve Francis, which would be fine. Unfortunately, Channing Frye and Nate Robinson have currently fallen out of favor, and I worry that they will be traded. I still like the upside of both players very much. Of course, the key here is to not trade Eddy Curry or David Lee as both have really come on under Thomas.
Overall, as always, I'm praying that neither Garden Czar does anything stupid, but it's almost guaranteed that they will.

Hey Phil- I enjoy your blog. Keep up the good work!
Seems like a lot of work?
Just a few minutes a day, but thanks.
SAS proposed a Frye, Nate, Collins for Artest deal.
Rangers are gonna do something stupid...Knicks arent gonna make any moves
Rangers will definitely do something stupid, but I wouldn't rule out a Knicks move.
i can see maybe a minor move for the knicks i just dont see anything big or damaging to the team....any defense players on trading deadline for the rangers or they gonna trade prucha for an over the hill star
