Apparently, the Yanks are deep in negotiations for the return of one of their favorite sons. Word is Hendricks Bros and the Yanks are discussing a one or two year deal for about 15M per pop. Andy't balky elbow has allowed him to pitch 200+ innings the last two years, and from the looks of the market, this really would be a strong move for the Yanks. They need innings to save the bullpen, and to assure that Hughes, Sanchez, Clippard and Chamberlain aren't rushed. This also means Cashmoney Green can start using his Jedi mind tricks on those teams interested in Carl Pavano. This makes a ton of sense for very practical reasons. Make it so!

I will still be surprised if Mrs. P says yes to NYC.
I also think Pavano's value would be higher in ST.
Maybe, but he did pitch in the minors at the end of the year and has throw bullpens people could see. It's clear teams are interested now and as other pitchers come of the board, Pavano's trade value goes up.
so what u think happens...ny...houston....or retirement
I would guess Yanks right now, but Houston has been the surprise winner once before.
Please tell me that Cash won't make an offer:
Blue Jays out of running for Lilly
Agent Larry O'Brien said Wednesday that the Blue Jays are out of the running for free agent Ted Lilly.
"It's down to the Cubs and the Yankees," O'Brien said. It's unclear whether the Yankees have made an offer. That could come with the two sides due to meet later the afternoon. The Cubs have offered $40 million-$44 million for four years.

Nah, O'Brien's just using the Yanks to get more out of the Cubs.
rich, please be sure to refer to Cashman as "Cash Money Green" going forward. Or else.
