Knicks LOSE 105-93

They were often despicable tonight, but they did go on a 20-2 run in the 3rd/4th that brought them withing 1 before collapsing back into bad D and poor shot selection again. Frye was benched for the second half, and I agree with that move. Francis got hurt, and once he was in street clothes, Marbury actually started to play. When they played hard on that 20-2 run they were a team I could root for. I hope, but do not trust, that Thomas can coach them to that level, and not settle for the crap they've mostly been giving him, us, and each other on their way to 1-3.

They still don't get the ball to Curry enough, Frye is still a disaster, Lee still plays hard, but was not as good as he's been. Likewise, Q. Nate had another strong game, and Mardy Collins really contributed. Malik Rose played well against his old team, though that may be why he played well, having spent so much time practicing with them. Renaldo Balkman brings energy, rebounds, blocks and takeaways. He needs to develop a shot, but his block of Duncan tonight was outstanding. Play him!
