Is House Jumping the Shark?

My favorite show is really starting to bug the crap out of me. Several weeks ago I wrote about their traditional "bring in the outsider" to challenge House arc. This year they been working that angle through a vigilante cop, played by David Morse, who apparently has more power than the President. So far, he has stalked House, arrested House, and frozen the assets of everyone involved with House. This nonsense is wholly unbelievable, and virtually any group of doctors being so persecuted would have long since had the vigilante's badge by now. I hope they get this arc wrapped up soon, as the vigilante scenes are brutally unwatchable. BTW, the actors all continue to do a great job, and there's plenty of drama, but this yearly "outsider" arc has been too incredulous. I know the challenges of creating a consistently excellent procedural are vast, but this really seems like a little too unreal.

It's absurd, last night they did the one where the outsider talks to (tells us all about) each of the side characters through his "questioning." What a bunch of nonsense.
