Favorite Comic Book Covers!
As I'm always trying to add good visuals to m'blog I thought I'd do a series of my favorite Silver Age comic covers. Dig em!
Behold: Captain America #100. In 1968 Marvel got a better distribution deal and as a result introduced a bunch of new books. Under their old deal Cap had to share pages with Iron Man in "Tales of Suspense." At #100, Tales of Suspense became Captain America, and Iron Man got his own book. It's very clearly a Jack Kirby cover, and, though I wish the pic was bigger, I'd also guess from a gander that the inks were rendered by Frank Giocia and not Joe Sinnot. I say that based on line quality. This sort of looks more like and Avengers cover, than a cap, but they're coming at you and they rock!
