I'm jumping in late, due to site issues. But if you've already missed Ivanhoe! (A good swashbuckler set in the era of Robin Hood but made by Fox not Warners, where, due to rights issues, Robin himself is called Locksley and used as a sort of dramatic wild card, while Ivanhoe does the major heroing) try to see it at some point, if you're into swashbucklers. Directed by Richard Thorpe http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0044760/

Starting now is The Prisoner of Zenda, another court politics, lookalikes story that's been told and retold. This is the Stewart Granger version. http://www.amazon.com/Prisoner-Zenda-Richard-Thorpe/dp/6301977807 This was also directed by Richard Thorp and was made in a period when they were remaking lots of Ronald Colman starring Stewart Granger. I'll have to check if Granger ever played Bulldog Drummond, off the top of my head I don't think he did.

Next up will be Knights of the Round Table, also directed by Richard Thorpe http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0045966/ Good stuff based on the old Celtic Arthur myths. You need to know about that stuff here's a site with a bunch of links http://www.greatdreams.com/arthur.htm

Next we have Jailhouse Rock, which for my money is one of the 4 greatest Elvis Movies. The other three that I would classify with it are Loving You, King Creole and Viva Las Vegas. The next grouping of Elvis Movies would include Kid Gallahad, Clamebake and Roustabout, after that it's all taster's choice. Enjoy!
