Rangers Down 1-0 After One

Lundqvist had a good first ten minutes or so, but then he gave up a long goal, that he clearly should have stopped. The difference between the young players like Prucha, Dawes, Hollweg and Tyutin and the old mediocrities like Roszival, Rachunek and Kasparaitis is stark and unnerving if you are looking for a plan here. It comes down to this: the young guys need more minutes, and the old guys need far fewer. One of the reasons the Sabres cleaned our clocks the other day is that Renney answered their team speed, with our team sloth. The kids need more minutes, and Pock shouldn't be sitting when mediocrities like Roszival, Rachunek and Malik are getting big minutes every night. We have two great vets on this team, Jagr and Shanahan, and the Rangers need to surround them with more youth and speend and fewere veteran slugs.
