Knicks Win

The Knicks won a fairly meaningless preseason game tonight. There was some meaning in the fact that this was their first game under new coach Isiah Thomas, and they seemed to play hard for him. The Nets were without Jason Kidd and Vince Carter, so beating them is fairly meaningless. Young players Marcus Williams and Matt Walsh impressed for the Nets.

Jared Jeffries and Renaldo Balkman were impressive in their Knick debuts. Frye and Lee look like they spent the offseason in the gym, which they reportedly did. The whole team showed unselfishness and that can only mean good things in hoops.

A nice beginning to the Thomas coaching era. They play in Philly tomorrow, but I don't believe it's televised. I'll give you a heads up if I find it!

behold, the box score!
