Giants to Look at Another Jake?

This time it's Omar Jacobs, formerly of Pittsburgh and Bowling Green, and according to this, he'll be trying out on Monday.http://www.palmbeachpost.com/dolphins/content/sports/epaper/2006/10/29/a9b_jacobs_1029.html I rally liked him as a developmental project back in April. He came out of Bowling Green a year early, but if we could stash him on the Practice Squad and bring him to camp next year, I'd be all for it. When you have a franchise QB like Eli, you can really benefit by developing QB's behind him and eventually trading them off for picks. I'm glad to know the Giants are giving him a look.

Awesome. I know the high school he went to. Very accurate arm. A bit of mobility. Comfortable in a spread. Hope he does well in the tryout.

He came out a year early and has been paying the price, but we now that Ward is healthy, we don't need a running back on the psquad (presuming Brandon Jacobs is also fine) so we could have room for Omar.
