College Game Day

ESPN'S College Game Day is one of the best shows on TV. No joke. It, of course features the familiar team of Fowler, Corso and Herbstreit at a different college each week, really discussing all the day's games and showing the kind of chemistry sit-coms want their characters to have. Excellent stuff.

Okay, what should we watch?

Of the 12:00 games, take a look at Syracuse/WVU. WVU carries a #5 ranking into a game that won't give them much trouble, but they are loaded, and worth watching. At 12:30 Iowa State at Oklahoma could be entertaining.

At 2:00, Northern Illinois vs Western Michigan features two programs with some NFL talent who are trying to step up. Should be fun.

Likewise, at 3:00 Tulsa at East Carolina should be good, more great athletes.

3:30 offers Cincinatti/Louisville and Louisville is a team you should know. At the same time UCLA visits Oregon. This could be really good if UCLA brings its A game.

At 5:00 Cal at Washington State should be good, and you have to see Cal's DeSean Jackson.

At 7:45, we have the day's big match-up Florida @ Auburn. Auburn is desperate to stay in the National Title picture, but Arkansas beat them last week by making big plays, and Florida will likely do the same. Auburn's not built for coming back. At 8:00 we have the other big game: Michigan @ Penn State. Last year's game ended in controversy, and this year's game is a classic trap. Michigan is loaded, but PSU's QB has a big time arm, and NFL caliber receivers. Michigan is missing stud WR Mario Manningham, though the cupboard's not bare after him. Michigan should win easily, but they could also be upset here.

Have fun!
