Yanks Complete Sweep of Twins

That was impressive.  In the first two games in New York, the Yanks bludgeoned the Twins with homers and big doubles.  Last night they beat them with pitching a defense.  And what defense, Didi, Judge, Gardy, DJ, and Torres all made great plays. We really haven't seen many games like that in modern championship runs. It really was notably impressive.

What's more, Luis Severino showed the heart of a lion. That was a some pure Yankeeness last night.  He had no fastball control command and got into a bases loaded/no outs situation in the second and a two on/no out situation in the third -- and didn't give up a run.  He was making it up as he went along, and got swings and misses with his slider, 4 seamer and change when he needed them most.  Just a really great performance.

On the hitting side, Gleyber Torres just doesn't care who they're facing.  He keeps on hitting,  He started the scoring with a second inning homer, and stole third later after another big double,, to put more pressure on the Twins.  He was the MVP, and he'll need to keep playing like that if the Yanks want 28.

Defense really came through for the team last night.

Have to root for the Rays to upset the Astros
