Giants Acquire Leonard Williams from the Jets

This is weird.  Leonard Williams will be a free agent after this season.  Yet the Giants are giving up a 2010 3rd round pick and a 2021 5th round pick to add him to their current tire fire. Btw, the 5th becomes of 4th if Williams signs a new deal before the next League Year. I'd hope he's given the Giants an indication that he will sign. That's the only way this makes sense.  The Jets are also paying 4m of the 6M remaining on Leonard's current contracet. Also, if there is a deal to be made, this probably means Tomlinson who's have a good season, won't get a new deal.  It also probably means Big Dex, who has been playing DE, will move to nose.

The Giants, still should be sellers at this deadline - and the only way this buy makes sense is if they have a deal they can make.
