Phil is Officially Back

The Knicks finally corrected their longest term mistake today by welcoming former championship era Knick, Phil Jackson back to the fold as basketball czar.    Sure he gained his early fame as a player then even more fame as a coach, but he really is one of the great basketball minds, and a disciple of the great Red Holzman, who was the only coach to ever get the Knicks to win!  

At his presser he spoke about establish support for players and playing team ball.   I got misty years ago when Larry Brown talked about team ball at his presser, but that went South in an instant.  But Phil Jackson is a True Knick, with both rings, who not only played within the team concept, but coached it to 11 titles for other teams, while he should have been coaching the Knicks.   Something in the universe has finally been corrected.

Phil said he believes in systems.   It would be nice if the Knicks finally had a comprehensive one.  Let's see what he comes up with.
