Giants: Core Meltdown

By now we know Linval Joseph is a Viking, Justin Tuck is a Raider and Hakeem Nicks seems destined to by a Colt, a Panther or a Charger.   Not too long ago, all three of these former Giant draft picks, was a core member of the Super Bowl 46 winning squad.  And Tuck was also a core member of the Super Bowl 42 winning squad.   Tuck and Nicks especially won playoff games for us...   Anyway, the core has been degraded and we might be heading to meltdown

Eli's not getting any younger and on O only he, Cruz and Pugh can be considered core.    Wilson is a question mark and so's Beatty.  Snee is no longer Snee, and Mosley hasn't proven anything.   The young TE's have yet to impress.   Randle looks like a 2 or a 3 instead of a Nicks replacement.

On defense, JPP looked like core, but now he needs a bounce back after two subpar seasons.   Beason, I guess, is now core, but his knees will always be a cause for concern.  Hankins hasn't played yet. Will Hill looks like core when he's not suspended.  Prince is core.   Rolle is core, but his expiration date is probably on the way.  Hosley has underwhelmed.  And that's about all the core guys we have these days.

This team used to be stacked!   Now it seems like it will be a two offseason job just to get close again, and that's if the kids keep developing, JPP bounces back and no one else's career falls off a cliff.   Sheesh.

Meanwhile in free agency, the Giants brought back Henry Hynoski on a 1 year deal, most likely to compete with Cooper in camp.
