Giants Will Pick 12th

It's official.  The Giants will pick 12th in the first round of the NFL Draft.    Had they lost their last two games instead of trying hard, getting injured and winning, they would have picked 8th.    They should be able to get a good player at 12 and they need a lot of good players.   This may or may not be a sort of QB rich draft, which should push players to the Giants.  And if there's a QB someone wants still on the board, the Giants may be able to trade down.   They're not in a bad position for a trade up, but they seem to have far too many needs to want to trade up in this draft.

I still refuse to draft for need, though and I hope the Giants share that approach.  They could use upgrades on the OL, maybe at WR, at TE, and at RB on O.  On D, they need another pass rusher, or two if Tuck leaves.  They need another LB or two if Beason leaves.  They need another CB if nothing else happens.  So they could pick almost anything in the first and be hitting a need.  They just need to get the BPA at 12.   8 would have been better.
