Dominant!
CC finally joined the party, throwing a complete game while allowing just 2 runs and striking out a bunch of Braves. He's crediting his work with Larry Rothschild. Jeter had two bit 2 out RBI hits, Cano homered, Tex homered and things are going well. The Yanks were shutout and no-hit through 4, then ended up winning 6-2. They are cruising right now, and the way they come back at will reminds more of the 1980 Yanks so far, more than the 1998 Yanks, though the pitching is getting reminiscent of `98. They've won 10 straight and are now 16 games over .500. That's a great place to be on June 18th. Oh, GCL also started today and won. SI lost. Go Yanks!

I'll give Cashman credit, the pitching staff, both starters and relievers, have been lights out.
I still worry that this team's all-or-nothing approach at the plate will cost them in the playoffs. Hopefully, they can trade for a bat at the deadline without giving up the farm.
They already traded the bat they needed.
Hindsight is 20-20, but in light of the fact that Hughes, Nova and Kuroda have done well, and Andy has been lights out, that trade is looking dumber by the minute. I suspect had Montero stayed in New York, he'd be hitting a lot better than he is now.
I want the Yankees to trade for Josh Willingham so they can have Swisher's replacement for next season. In fact, I'd be OK with them spinning Swisher off for prospects at the deadline to help them grab Willingham.
