Yanks Pick Bichette Jr.

With a bunch of big signability kids still available, the Yanks spent their first rounder on Dante Bichette Jr. Dante is if from Orangewood Christian HS in Florida and may be a ringer. Apparently, he's been hanging out a lot at the complex, like Mason Williams last year. He is a shortstop now with power, but might project to 3rd base of a corner OF position. There are a lot of signability kids left and we'll see how the Yanks play it tomorrow and Wednesday. I hope he walks more than his dad did. Go Yanks!

I have to laugh at the fans that thought the Yankees made this pick because Girardi is friends with this kid's dad.

Sounds promising.

I've confirmed that he is a ringer, and the Yanks think he has a middle of the order type bat.

Hope they spend more this year than years past, since it's likely the last draft before hard slotting.

they don't think hard slotting is coming since even the small market teams don't want it.

Last night Bell's people reiterated that he wasn't signing. And as of last night, Norris wanted more money than he was worth. We will get some lefties today, but I doubt one will be Norris, unless he has an epiphany.
