Coughlin Chooses to Lose

Today the Giants really started looking like themselves again. Up 17-14, Terrell Thomas picked off a Phillip Rivers pass and returned it to the 4, with about three minutes left. A touchdown would have sealed it. But after a holding play by Chris Snee, Coach Coughlin decided to run the ball to take time off the clock and make the Chargers used timeouts. No attempt was made to throw the ball into the endzone, and the Giants arrogantly took the field goal and the 6 point lead. This show of uttter stupidity was greeted with and 80 yard TD drive by the previously deflated Chargers. Now, I'm not into the blame game, and am certainly sorry for whatever I had to do with this, but if Coach Coughlin doesn't take responsibility, he isn't the man I have supported. Just a ridiculous loss, and terrible coaching decisions. An utter disaster. The chances of the Giants making the playoffs are melting.

What's more, Eli was much better today, and clearly healthy for the first time in weeks. I hope the morons who had been using the last three weeks to draw conclusions about him can now realize he was playing hurt.

I think its time to let Coughlin..Gilbride and Sheridan Go..They have literally ruined this season for the Giants

on his post game press conference he certainly did not take much blame other then to say that probably enough pressures were not called on the final drive, and that was only b/c the reporter insisted did he finally show some anger

The schedule gets no easier either. If a change is going to be made which I doubt it has to be this week. At worst one of the co-ordinators needs to go.

Eli says he wanted to go for the TD. That's not good news for the coaches. He's the franchise.

What faith does that show in Eli then?? Does TC not have faith in the WR??? We need to rectify that and also get more speed at LB something Reese has not done since he has taken over.
