AJ Comes Up Aces

AJ Burnett threw 7 innings of 4 hit, 2 walk, 1 run, 9K ball to beat the Phillies 3-1 and tie the series. Honestly, he shouldn't have even been charged with the 1 run as ARod should have fielded it. ARod was still off tonight, but Teixeira homered to tie it up off of Pedro. Later, Matsui put the Yanks up for good with another homer off of Pedro. What might have been a big seventh inning by the Yanks was screwed up by an umpire error, that declared a double play on a line-out throw out, when neither had taken place. Mo worked two innings for the save. In general, the team still seems a little tight and in that way it reminds me of 1996 whent the Yanks lost the first two games to the reigning champs, before getting comfortable and sweeping the next four. Andy goes Saturday. Go Yanks!
