Yanks Pound Sox in Ragged Opener

In a night where almost all the young pitchers on the Yanks, Joba, Robertson, Melancon and Claggett spent a ton of time walking Sox, the Yankee bats took over. Cued by a 3 shot from Melky that put them up 5-3, the Yanks on that homer and others by Damon, Posada and Tex beat up on the Sox for the first time this year - 13-6. Joba was just off tonight and gave up 4 runs in 5 innings to get his 8th win. Clagget gave up the Sox' other two runs in the 9th, and we probably won't see him again this season. The first one is always the toughest and let's hope AJ can beat his old buddy Beckett tomorrow. Go Yanks!
