Decision Time?
The Red Sox have apparenly made an "historic offer" to free agent 1B Mark Teixiera. Other sources are reporting that a decision will come soon. The question here, is how deep into this are the Yanks? They're into something since they turned their backs on Cameron and it could be Tex, Manny, Peavy or something no one has even considered yet. The other bidders for Teixeira are the Angels, Orioles and Nationals. Heyman reported today that the Yanks were "behind" and could "pounce" on Manny if Tex ends up elsewhere. Stay tuned.

Good stuff Phil!! If you had to venture what is it we are in on?
my guess is bidding up Tex on the off chance he accepts, and then grabbing Manny.
I'd like that, Manny behind A-Rod would really make our lineup dangerous. Are you a proponent of Manny on a short term basis?
