Swept Away

Craptastic outfield defense, and not young pitching, once again did in the Yanks. Damon and Abreu were the culprits this time as their inability to catch fly balls, turned what looked like it was gonna be a good outing by Kennedy, into a meal and a short outing. Albaladejo was poor out of pen, but the damage was done earlier, cause Damon and Abreu can't make plays on D anymore. The Yanks would be wise to call up Brett Gardner and give him a shot. This was the first time since 1966 that the Tigers have swept the Yankees in New York. 1966 was a brutal year in Yankee history. Let's not let 2008 resemble it in any other ways.
