Rangers Win!

Rangers win 2-1. Hank had a shutout going with 16.7 seconds left and an empty net at the other end when he gave up a score. Fedor Tyutin had the first goal and Colton Orr had the second. While we've all been raving about Staal, and rightfully so, Fydor Tyutin has turned into the player we expected him to be pre-lockout. Another big road win. Go Rangers!

I thought Moore and Baranka had good NHL debuts

So did I. Moore looks like a throwback, and Baranka lost the puck for a second at one point, but looked like another good product of the Ranger system. He has great COD for a big guy.

He sure does. Having watched him in Hartford I can tell you he has more offensive game then he showed. If given a sustained chance he will show that. I see no reason to bring Malik back period. One name I heard mentioned Phil was Visnovsky potentially being available. From what I have seen of him he would be exactly what we need, and he is above average on D. Have you seen much of him?

Moore is a definite throwback. I hope he sticks around, I liked his grit in the corners tonight. Hossa just needs to go. He Prucha Malik and Dawes are amongst the names being bandied about. Weber from Nashville is a target but may cost more then Slats is willing to pay.

Weber and Visnovsky? Interesting.

Not interested in Visnovsky for the Rangers. Seems like another undersized Czech. Would that be for Jagr? We're going backward if we're doing that.

Yea, those are the names I am hearing we have showed interest in. My fear is that Sather will do something impetuous and over-pay. I think Nashville is a better fit b/c they have a bigger need for fwds and a Prucha/Dawes combo would be a good place to start.

The Visnovsky thing yes would be a Jagr thing. I think Straka coming back will help Jagr. I leave Dubinsky as the center, he has really earned his spot. 2nd line stays the same I like the Avery Gomez Shanny combo. Drury with Callahan and Moore would be acceptable to me as third and the Betts Hollweg Orr line works as the 4th. Many Ranger fans especially on .com dislike Hollweg, but I think he is a solid contributor.

I'd rather dump some of our older players than Dawes and Prucha.

I agree I would rather dump some of the other players as well, which is why I fear Sather will do something we wont like. In a perfect world someone like Straka would be traded.

We'll see.
