Rasner Breaks Finger in Latest Luckless Loss

Rasner broke his finger in the first and had to leave the game. Myers and Vizcaino pitched about the way they have all year, and the Yanks found themselves way down. A comeback win was averted by the home plate ump, who missed a balk and messed with balls and strikes in the late going to seal a win for the Mets, who are a very good team this year.

If it was Torre and/or Guidry's decision not to IBB or at least pitch around David Wright they should be fired.

If they did in fact tell Myers to pitch around him and he was unable to execute the plan, he should be DFA'd.

I think it's time to consider DLing Damon and Giambi. Damon should have been DL'd in April.

I think we'll win tomorrow then go on a tear.

We need another productive every day bat.

I don't want to pay an in season prospect price on a bat just cause Cano, Abreu and Damon are slumping. They are all a hell of a lot better than they've been so far. Phelps should get more ab's.

I'm talking about an in house solution. Call up Andy Phillips and cut Mientkiewicz, or at least DL Giambi if he can't be productive (the offensive slump has coincided with Giambi's injury).

As I implied, I think Damon's slump is a consequence of being hurt. He needs to go on the DL.

If we DL him, Melky plays and he's heating up, but both KT and Bronson Sardinha have been a little crummy this year. I'd give Shelley Duncan a shot, but he K's a lot and plays bad D.
