Giants Sign Jason Mitchell

The Giants signed for University of Tennessee Linebacker (#35) Jason Mitchell. Mitchell was available because he has spent the last year rehabbing his injured knee. Mitchell played his senior year at Tenn with a torn MCL and ACL and is finally ready to play again. At the recent Tennessee pro day, Mitchell ran a 4.55 40 at 240 lbs. That makes him the fastest linebacker on the Giants. If the knee holds up, this could be like getting an extra draft pick. Well done, Giants.

Where was he projected to be picked before the injury?

He played hurt as a senior, then got operated on, so I never saw him written up for the draft as he was always gonna miss a year.

Good Morning! Is there anything to the Briggs rumor?

I very much doubt it. The price has been too high for the Giants all along.

Thank you Phil(M123) Would you mind us taking Poz at 20 if we go LB?

yes I would. He's not worth the #20 pick, and I don't think there will be any LB available at 20 who's worth the pick.

Only reason I bring it up was the fact that Kiper has us picking him there on his Sportscenter segment.

Kiper was Ernie's friend and has no more connection with the Giants.
