Miami Does the Right Thing

Miami finally fired Larry Coker today, and now maybe they can get their football team back to where it belongs. There's been a lot of talk about Barry Alvarez and the Miami job, but he would be a mistake. The `Canes need a younger coach to restore the vitality to the program. I'm sure they're looking at Greg Schiano, who may or may not be available, but think they should also talk to Chris Peterson of Boise State, Dan Hawkins of Colorado and Steve Kragthorpe of Tulsa. The big young names like Bobby Petrino would only leave their current situations for the right NFL offer.

Good luck to Da U in finding a tough, young coach who loves recruiting!
