These are five fantastic directors. I like Ford for both his sweep and the fine detail he gave to every character in his movies. I like Sturges for his wit and sense of the absurd. I like Fritz Lang for his brillian camera sense, his development of cinematic expressionism, and his comeback in the noir era. I like Billy Wilder cause you can't not. And I like Frank Capra because he wasn't as corny as some have projected him to have been. There's dark stuff in a lot of his work, and well observed stuff in all of it. I'll try to give you 5 more some time in the next 7 days. Also, I'll cook up my 5 favorite horror directors just for Halloween.
